Thank you, Bernie.

We just want to say…thank you, Bernie.

Your ability to inspire and mobilize millions of people – many of whom have given up having hope in our democracy – is unprecedented in modern politics.

No candidate has spoken so forcefully for the needs of the many that are too often ignored by the powerful few.

Bernie stood shoulder-to-shoulder with social and community justice movements throughout this country – thousands of grassroots groups like Rights & Democracy.

Together we have helped to reshape the debate about what is possible in politics and in our communities.

It is now our job to keep this fight going as we all know that the struggle for justice continues. We must remain engaged and focused on ensuring that the most radical, right-wing, and dangerous president in modern history is defeated in November.

It is clear that the 2020 election is one that will test our democracy, our political resolve, and demand that we stand in support of human rights for everyone.

“Together We Win” is more than just a catchphrase at RAD; it’s a reminder transformative change happens when we join together and work together on the issues that matter to everyone and our planet.

Let’s work together to defeat Trump and send a strong message throughout the country that hate has no home here.

Bernie’s campaign was always about “Not Me, Us” as it also included people from our grassroots movements running for office at every level. Given the challenges we face with this pandemic, having people who represent our values running on a local level is as important as ever.

If you’re interested in running this fall, let us know. As you may have seen in the news, we just hired former State Rep. Kiah Morris as RAD’s Movement Politics Director in Vermont. She will be working on plans to support folks, especially from marginalized and underrepresented communities, who want to run for office. We’ll be hosting a virtual webinar in the coming weeks – so stay tuned!
