Rights & Democracy is screening Greg Palast’s The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, an eye-opening documentary that exposes the people who rig our elections and how they suppress the vote.
Rolling Stone investigative reporter Greg Palast busted Jeb Bush for stealing the 2000 election by purging Black voters from Florida’s electoral rolls. Now Palast is back to take a deep dive into the Republicans’ dark operation, Crosscheck, the secret purge list that helped steal the 2016 Election.
The screening of this important film is a fundraiser for Rights & Democracy (RAD). Beyond working to boost turnout in elections, RAD keeps people engaged with, and involved in, their democracy throughout the year. RAD worked to pass same-day voter, and then automatic voter registration, to reduce the barriers to casting a ballot, and we support the public financing of elections.
This event is sponsored by Rights & Democracy VT and our good friends at Main Street Landing.
